ITU Chemical Engineering alumna Filiz Karadağ received the “Effective Leader Award” at the Rönesans Excellence Awards (REXA) by Rönesans Holding. This achievement once again highlights the responsibilities our graduates undertake and the value they create across various sectors.

Colleagues described Karadağ as a leader who is goal-oriented, guides her team with a clear vision, ensures high-quality results through meticulous oversight, and successfully manages change. She was particularly commended for fostering a transparent and motivating work environment grounded in principles of trust and fairness. Her practice of sharing success with her team, highlighting their contributions, and empowering team members with responsibilities to create development opportunities were also cited as key factors in her receiving the award.

Currently serving as Operations Director at Rönesans Holding, our graduate contributes to establishing operational processes and developing a sustainable systems approach for the Ceyhan Polypropylene (PP) Production Facility and Terminal project, which is underway in the Ceyhan district of Adana.
